If you make it, will they come?

Ok, I have taken the plunge.

I have started my own blog.

Hmmm, what are my intentions?
Not a clue.

Will anybody see this or even notice I exist??
Again, no clue.

So why bother??
Curiosity, intrigue, a challenge...

And if nobody shows up, then it will be my little
place to come and vent or whatever I feel like doing.

So, is anybody out there or do I have the place to myself??
Hello?? Hello?? Anybody out there??

I thought about it then wondered if I did nothing if anybody would find it :)
I will see what happens in the next couple weeks before I send out the info officially, after I tweak and tinker.

It is about time! And what is with the cheerleader icon?

OK, for those of you that aren't part of the old Racine Journal Times blogging community, the cheerleader avatar came from another blogger, who created it for me. Not sure why a cheerleader but she was cute and she fits.
The journal site had a big glitch and most peoples' avatars disappeared into a generic no name one. Ed, short for Education Reform, started making avatars for a couple of the regular bloggers.
Here are the comments that followed her debut...

oh ED!!! She's cute! I will try to change my pic to her if I can figure out how. Now we just need to find a way to animate her foot to tap as if to say "lets go!"
thanks Ed!

I've been the cheerleader ever since. It is fitting as I am the event coordinator for our new blog society, the journal deserters, the JT Irregulars. It's been a fun time, met many of the regular bloggers. I can't contribute on the tech end but I can plan things and get us together.

I have also had cleaning challenges on the blogs and the cheerleader is the right fit, so she stuck around.
That's the whole story! Aren't you glad you asked, Mary???
